Overview
Chemform is a well-established, family-owned national business with our head office based in Perth, WA. We are a respected manufacturer and supplier of chemicals, and we cater to various market sectors across Australia.
This is designed to assist the Despatch Manager in the day-to-day operation of the despatch department by picking stock, preparing loads and maintaining the day-to-day operations of the despatch department.
It is a permanent full time position (38 hours per week) with set hours of Monday - Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm, Friday 7.30am - 2.00pm. The starting wage is above the award rates and is dependent on relevant qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
* Picking and preparing stock/orders.
* Lifting up to 25kg drums.
* Driving forklifts.
* General warehouse duties.
* Ensure stock is clean, presentable and suitable for despatch.
* Transferring stock from production to despatch department.
Qualifications
* Essential Qualifications (evidence must be supplied at interview):
* Forklift License LF (forklift truck) – to meet the requirements of Worksafe W.A.
* Driver's License – current "C" Class driver's license.
Desired Knowledge and Experience
* Previous experience working in chemical stores and transportation.
* An understanding of classifications and regulations associated with the storage and transportation of dangerous goods (ie Dangerous Goods Legislation).
