The Team

As a member of the Statewide Mental Health Services Education and Practice Development Unit, you will be working amongst a small but dedicated team of statewide Clinical Nurse Educators and PEP administration staff providing strategic education and training. The position is based across the North West coast of Tasmania. As a team we value evidence-based, trauma informed, quality education and training across a diverse multidisciplinary workforce.

The Role

The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is accountable for the design, implementation, assessment and evaluation of education programs and providing nursing expertise related to educational issues in meeting the strategic priorities of the Nursing workforce and the Organisation.

You will need

* Demonstrated high level knowledge, skills and clinical expertise and the ability to lead nursing education and training provision through the principles of Practice Development.
* Ability to apply facilitation skills, learning and evaluation strategies in the clinical context, to further the development of a person-centred culture including the implementation and evaluation of multi-disciplinary professional development, education and training activities.
* Sound knowledge of contemporary education, health and professional development issues and their impact on the knowledge and skill requirements of the SMHS workforce.

Details of appointment

Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary

$118,297 to $125,543 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Eligibility

* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

* Holds, or is currently working towards, postgraduate qualifications in education and/or clinical teaching and learning.
* Holds, or is currently working towards, postgraduate qualifications around clinical/practice speciality as relevant to the position.
* Current Driver's License.
