Head of Department - Student Services - James Nash State High School (0.4 FTE)
James Nash State High School is seeking an experienced, relational and future-focused educational leader to join our Leadership Team as the Head of Department – Student Services.
As Head of Department – Student Services, you will work alongside a highly skilled and collaborative team to strengthen our multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS), promote student wellbeing, and foster a positive, inclusive and aspirational school culture. You will work closely with the Teaching & Learning and Student Support teams to ensure that every student has the opportunity, support and high expectations necessary to achieve success.
This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.40 FTE), 20 hours per fortnight.

Your Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives that promote student wellbeing, engagement, and behaviour aligned with the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
- Embed restorative conversations and practices as a central approach to building relationships, repairing harm, and supporting student accountability.
- Work collaboratively with the school's leadership, teaching, and support teams to deliver evidence-based interventions that improve student outcomes.
- Support student capability to manage behaviour and foster safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
- Strengthen partnerships between students, parents, and community to promote a culture of belonging and inclusion.
- Contribute to the strategic priorities of the James Nash SHS Annual Implementation Plan.
