Your Opportunity
Facilitate and deliver Child and Youth Mental Health acute response and brief intervention, which aims to provide:
* Specialist child and adolescent mental health assessment and brief individual and family intervention to young people (and their carers) experiencing mental health crisis.
* A consistent approach to child and adolescent mental health screening in Maryborough and Hervey Bay Hospital emergency departments.
* Improved access to age‐appropriate community mental health services offering an alternative to hospitalisation, streamline pathways to stepped care across the care continuum, and improve experience of service journey for young people and their carers' in crisis.
What we're looking for
Clinical Expertise
* Demonstrated high level skills, knowledge and attitude in care and management of consumers from Child and Youth.
Communication
* Demonstrated ability to provide mental health clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors regarding service delivery and improvement opportunities.
Clinical Ability
* Demonstrated ability to provide care and management to consumers of a complex nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require some expansion, adaptation or modification.
Leadership
* Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives and provide clinical supervision to the novice practitioner.
Preferred Qualifications
Psychologists
* Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as a Psychologist and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practising certificate is essential.
Occupational Therapists
* Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as an Occupational Therapist and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practising certificate is essential.
Social Workers
* Mandatory possession of a recognised degree in Social Work, and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Eligibility is dependent on the candidate having completed a University level Social Work degree accredited by the AASW and that the candidate does not have any other outstanding professional competency or ethical issues or complaints known to the AASW which may preclude membership.
* Overseas qualified Social Work candidates require a "certification of eligibility" letter from the AASW to confirm their eligibility for membership. Overseas qualified applicants should include such evidence with their application to be considered for short‐listing in the selection process.
Nurses
* Mandatory possession of a nursing qualification from a registered tertiary institution or completion of an approved hospital training program as a Registered Nurse and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practising certificate is essential.
* Possession of context‐specific postgraduate qualification in nursing is highly desirable.

Our offer: You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $169,138 p.a., comprising salary between $136,538 - $148,242 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7), or remuneration value up to $157,360 p.a., comprising salary between $128,169 - $137,918 p.a. (HP4), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.) (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
