Lindsay Transport is the largest transporter of fresh produce in Australia, specialising in temperature sensitive, time-slotted freight into Central Markets and major Grocery Distribution Centres to help our customers best meet their national supply chain needs.Today we employ over 1800 exceptional individuals, with roughly 35% based in Regional Australia, and together we service over 1.5 million tonnes of temperature-controlled freight every year across the country.The RoleWe are seeking a local Driver to join the team in the Mackay depot for pickup and delivery work, with the bonus of being home every night. Local drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of customer goods and the loading, unloading and load restraint of freight.We are looking for someone to work on a casual basis across Monday – Friday with some weekend work. Extra runs available depending on licence held.Primary Duties Of The Role IncludeWorking with temperature sensitive produce for local pickup and delivery runsEnsuring the safe and timely handling of company freightCompleting relevant pre-start checklists, safety documentation and delivery paperwork including the use of in-vehicle technologyInteracting with clients in a professional mannerWorking closely with depot teams for the loading, unloading and transportation of freightAbout You:The Candidates We Are Looking For WillHave a current & valid HR licence as a minimum, HC/MC licence an advantageKnowledge of paperwork associated with freight delivery and familiarity using internal cab data systemsHave a commitment to workplace health and safety.Have a strong customer focus with good communication skills.Be well presented, professional and reliable.A current and valid Forklift licence is highly regarded but not essential.Previous refrigerated transport experience is highly respected in this role.To Be Successful For This Role Applicants MustPass a Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol testProvide a current traffic print outBe willing to work weekend shifts and be flexible with start & finish timesOther benefits include:Access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Competitive ratesSalary packaging optionsSafety focused organisationWe pride ourselves on working in a way that brings our Values to life every day.Equal Opportunity EmployerThe Lindsay Group is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
