ML Communications are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Estimator to support pre-sales and walk-in enquiries, prepare accurate and competitive estimates, and assist with tender submissions. You will play a key role in ensuring all estimates align with project scopes, timelines, and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for two-ways, satellite, CCTV, data cabling, PTP links, towers, and related installations.
* Assist with walk-in sales and phone enquiries.
* Review project specifications, drawings, and bid documents to develop accurate estimates.
* Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and technical details, and maintain pricing databases.
* Assist with tender submissions and ensure compliance with requirements and deadlines.
* Support pre-sales efforts and customer engagement by providing technical input during sales cycle.
* Follow-up and convert accepted estimates into jobs for scheduling.
* Maintain strong client relationships.
* Support monitoring and maintaining inventory levels to meet operational needs.
Skills & Experience
* Experience as a Sales Estimator, preferably in the communications industry.
* Strong technical understanding of communication systems.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and Simpro or similar software is advantageous.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills.
* Self-motivated, reliable, and professional.
* Current WA driver's licence; occasional site visits may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in the communications industry.
* Knowledge of all aspects of the RF industry, Analogue & Digital radio systems, PTP and PTMP design and deployment.
* IT background an advantage.
This is a full-time role but can be flexible for the right candidate.
