Our client is an established FMCG business supplying both domestic and international markets, with a continued focus on growth and operational improvement. Following a recent uplift in procurement capability, the function is now focused on strengthening governance, supplier performance and commercial discipline – with a clear need to improve how contracts are structured and managed across the business.
The role
This role has a clear mandate – take ownership of contract management across the procurement function. You will step into an environment where contracts exist but lack consistency, with the opportunity to define frameworks, improve visibility and ensure agreements are commercially robust and fit for purpose. Alongside this, you will manage a defined ingredients and raw materials category portfolio, balancing hands‐on sourcing with a broader objective to lift contract management capability across the business.
Key responsibilities
* Build and embed contract management frameworks, processes and governance
* Lead negotiation and execution of supplier agreements (pricing, supply, service terms)
* Strengthen contract terms to better manage cost, risk and performance
* Manage an ingredients / raw materials category portfolio
* Improve visibility and control across contract lifecycle (review, renewal, compliance)
* Partner with stakeholders across sales, finance and operations
What we're looking for
This is a contracts‐first role sitting within procurement. You will bring strong experience negotiating and managing supplier agreements, with the ability to improve how contracts are structured and governed.
* Proven contract negotiation and management experience
* Experience building or improving contract frameworks and governance
* Commercial mindset with focus on outcomes, not just process
* Exposure to procurement or sourcing (FMCG / ingredients advantageous)
* Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to work autonomously
