CNC Machinist / Setter Monday to Friday, Day & Afternoon Shift Permanent Opportunity Based in Carrum Downs Multiple positions The Company Our client is an Australian defence company specialising in providing advanced technology solutions, particularly in the fields of radar systems, electronic warfare and communications. The company is known for its innovation in designing and manufacturing high-performance systems for both military and civilian applications. Your duties will include, but not limited to: Operate within quality standards, ensuring the development of a strong quality culture Edit toolpaths using CAD CAM software and adjust programs as needed Set up CNC machining mechanical components according to drawings and set up sheets Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines Supervise machine operations, making necessary adjustments Inspect and measure finished products, ensuring they meet requirements Perform daily checks and maintenance on machinery To be successful, you will need to have: CNC Machinist with a minimum of 2 year post trade Computer Numerical Control (CNC) experience or completion of Cert IV Engineering CNC Use of manual machining, CNC machining, fitting, fabrication and precision measuring tools and hand tools at an advanced level The ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings Intermediate skills with Microsoft applications including Excel and Word, and basic proficiency in CAD CAM software, preferably Solidworks and Solidcam Hours & Pay Rate: Monday to Friday: Day shift and afternoon shift with loading $45hr plus super, plus overtime We request that candidates must have Australian citizenship with AGSVA Clearance.
