About the Role
As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting our customers' equipment, ensuring their operations run smoothly.
Your expertise will help us build long-term partnerships and uphold our commitment to exceptional service.
Your Responsibilities
* Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment
* Document machine information and repairs on work orders, including parts, time, and fluids used
* Maintain a clean work area and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment
* Identify and communicate solutions for customer service opportunities
* Understand and interpret technical drawings and schematics
* Manage time effectively and stay organized
* Process paperwork accurately, including technical, service, and warranty reports
* Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Follow all safety rules and regulations
Your Skills and Attributes
* Relevant Trade Certificate (Heavy Diesel Fitter, Mobile Plant Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or equivalent)
* Dual trade or experience in air-conditioning and/or auto electrical work is highly regarded
* Valid driver's license
* Experience in servicing and maintaining heavy diesel products, including engine overhauls and major repairs is highly regarded
* Knowledge of Kenworth and DAF equipment is a plus
* Strong customer service focus and engaging work approach
* Solid electrical and IT skills
* Mature attitude with a logical and methodical approach to work
* Possession of relevant tickets and licenses (e.g., High Risk Work Licence-Forklift Licence) is highly regarded
