Auto Electrician / Performance Wiring Technician – 4x4 & ECU Builds (Gold Coast)
We're looking for a solid auto electrician to join our team in Burleigh Heads, working on 4x4 fit-outs and performance wiring. This isn't a basic accessory fitting role. The work is varied and leans toward higher-end builds, so it suits someone who actually enjoys the trade and takes pride in how things are done.
The role involves a mix of full 4x4 touring setups and more detailed electrical work. That includes dual battery and solar systems, canopy fitouts, and custom wiring solutions, along with ECU installs and integration using systems like Haltech, Link and similar. There's also diagnostics and fault finding on more complex setups, so being able to think things through and not just follow a checklist is important.
We're not interested in churn-and-burn work. The focus is on clean, reliable installs done properly. Detailed planning, routing and overall finish matter here.
We're after someone with a solid background in auto electrical work. Experience in 4x4 setups or performance wiring is ideal, but more important is having a good attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work things out on your own when needed. You need to be reliable, easy to get along with, and take pride in what you're putting your name to.
The workshop is based in Burleigh Heads, about 3km from the beach. It's a small team, no weekends, and an early finish on Fridays. Pay is above award and based on experience, with overtime there if you want it, not forced on you.
