The Role
We're seeking an experienced Civil Drafter to join a high-performing team delivering major civil projects across roads, drainage and building infrastructure.
This role sits within a strong digital delivery environment and offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects, work autonomously, and guide junior drafters in a collaborative, forward-thinking team.
You will play a key role in the design and documentation of major civil projects, with responsibility for both delivery and team support.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing drafting on large projects and leading junior drafters
Running smaller projects independently (where no Lead Engineer is allocated)
Producing clear, accurate and buildable drawing documentation
Assisting with preliminary designs from architectural drawings
Providing Civil 3D technical support and mentoring junior team members
Contributing to the ongoing improvement of drafting systems and processes
About You
5–7+ years' experience in a similar civil drafting role
Strong Civil 3D capability with major project experience
Experience across roads, drainage and civil infrastructure
Ability to coordinate utilities and thoroughly interrogate design data
Understanding of Australian Standards (Austroads/BCA advantageous)
Strong communication skills and natural leadership capability
