**About the role**:
The National Transport Manager is responsible for ensuring the right products are delivered to the right locations on time, in the most efficient method. This critical role involves aligning logistics activities including safety, quality, cost management, workforce planning and operations. You will influence and inspire individuals and provide the knowledge in formulating strategies and execution, improving performance and ensuring compliance to deliver initiatives that meet or exceed the agreed objectives in line with the company's vision and strategy.
**Responsibilities**
- Drive a team culture that is obsessed with exceeding customers' expectation, which places them at the centre of everything we do.
- Manage, monitor and maintain transport compliance documentation including policies, procedures, manuals, SWMS & SOPs
- Responsible for the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports.
- Understand and utilise all companies principles, remain up to date with all new procedures and ensure that all internal policies and processes are adhered to.
- Conduct business in line with all company Human Resources and Occupational Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Complete regular and effective internal audits relating to transport processes.
**Qualifications**
- Sound working knowledge of the transport industry and business management.
- A proven track record in leading and inspiring large teams in Transport Operations
- Resilient and manages self well under pressure and supports team members during peak periods.
- Understanding of legislative and compliance requirements relevant to road transport and workplace health & safety.
- Sound commercial and analytical skillset, with an ability to identify performance levers across an operation and make improvements.
- Knowledge of Pronto ERP desirable.
