Hidden Valley Resort, part of the Arcadia Group, is seeking to appoint a **Golf Shop Assistant** to join the team on a permanent part-time basis.
In this role you will be responsible for assisting our guests with bookings for activities such as golf, pickle ball and tennis, as well as providing associated rental equipment.
**About the role**
You will be responsible to:
- Greet guests and assist them with their chosen leisure or sporting activity
- Undertake bookings and answer general enquiries
- Provide guests with hire equipment (golf carts, clubs, range balls, etc)
- Undertake retail services (food and apparel)
- Attend to daily procedures including stock ordering, logging of general maintenance requirements
- General upkeep within the Pro-Shop and environments (tables, counters and benchtops)
- Assess loan equipment upon its return
- Actively promote and exhibit enthusiasm in the work place and among the guests
- Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility intended for the safety and welfare of guests and members
- Clearly identify guest experience priorities and manage time effectively and efficiently
- The role is diverse and will provide a variety of duties.
**About you**
What you will bring to the role:
- At least 2 years customer service experience with exposure to either a golf club or fitness centre environment highly regarded
- Sound understanding of the game of golf
- Ability to engage with customers across a wide range of fitness levels and interest groups
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Broad knowledge of POS systems
- Have an enthusiastic and energetic approach to the working day.
- Be available to work rostered hours in line with the Resorts hours of operation
You will be required to provide a valid Police Clearance certificate (within 90 days from issue) prior to engagement and provide evidence of being fully vaccinated for Covid-19. A current First Aid qualification is preferred but not essential.
