Position: Accounts & Administration Officer (Automotive)

About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available to join a well-established and reputable automotive dealership as an Accounts & Administration Officer. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong bookkeeping experience and a background in the automotive industry.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial and administrative operations of the business while delivering high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
* Process payroll and assist with BAS preparation and year-end reporting
* Oversee and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and Capricorn accounts
* Prepare financial reports including Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, and Balance Sheet
* Assist with preparation of tax returns and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT)
* Perform reconciliations using Pentana and accounting systems
* Handle inbound and outbound calls as required
* Maintain staff licenses and compliance records
* Coordinate travel arrangements for staff training
* Provide general administrative support across the office
* Set up and maintain client chart of accounts within accounting systems
* Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have strong experience in accounting and administration within the automotive industry.

Key Requirements

* Advanced working knowledge of Pentana (essential)
* Advanced working knowledge of MYOB (essential)
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proven experience in bookkeeping and administration
* Prior experience within the automotive industry (essential)
* Valid Australian Driver\'s Licence

Qualifications

* MYOB certification in Payroll and/or Advisory (highly regarded)
