Queensland Rail is seeking to connect with aMaterials Officer to work within our Townsville Depot on a permanent full time basis.As a Materials Officer, you will have an important role to play to ensure the supply of components for the rollingstock, and equipment and materials for the on-site team.
This includes the ordering, storage and retrieval of inventory required to keep the fleet in service.

Hours
You will work a 9-day fortnight working between the hours of *************.

Your key responsibilities will include:
Use forklift and loader to load, unload and maintain materials
Arrange delivery for important materials from southeast Queensland to Townsville and across regional Queensland
Inventory management – ensuring adequate levels of stock for local projects and comply with safety requirements
Record all stock movements through computer generated documents
Maintain accurate physical inventory and report discrepancies to supervisor
Ensure warehouse is kept clean, tidy and free of hazards
We are looking to connect with someone who has
Forklift Licence (preferred)
Inventory management experience (preferred)
National C Class Drivers Licence
Ability to be on your feet, lift and manoeuvre materials for your shift
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
