The opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Officer to join our Melbourne-based Motor team. This position will see you provide delivery of superior claims service, determining proper policy coverage to conclude, investigate, evaluate and negotiate assigned cases.

Your new role
* The management of lodgements and repairs for Motor Claims utilising multiple claims systems and processes
* Maintaining positive stakeholder relationships with the insured, agents and service providers
* Interpreting basic policy coverage and determining if coverage applies to claims submitted
* Receiving, recording and processing incoming insurance claims
* Authorizing payment within scope of authority, settling claims in the most cost-effective manner and ensuring timely issuance of disbursements and
* Identifying suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims and arranging investigations.
About you
* Experience in a similar role within Motor Claims will be highly advantageous
* An individual who has mechanical or technical bike knowledge will be highly regarded
* Highly developed customer service, communication and negotiating skills
* An individual who is tech savvy and quick learner
* Strong organisational and time management skills
