ABOUT THE ROLE We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Automotive Light Mechanic to join our team in Winnellie.
This role involves hands-on mechanical work and a keen eye for detail to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety.
Key responsibilities include: Detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and associated components Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other parts for inspection Repairing or replacing worn and faulty components, referencing service manuals as needed Performing scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups to enhance vehicle performance and meet environmental standards Reassembling engines and parts following repair Testing and adjusting mechanical systems post-repair to ensure proper functionality Using computer-assisted equipment to diagnose and test mechanical issues Inspecting vehicles and, where qualified, issuing roadworthiness certificates or advising on required repairs to meet safety standard ABOUT YOU You are a skilled and dedicated Automotive Light Mechanic with a strong understanding of internal combustion engines and mechanical systems.
Your qualifications and experience will include: Certificate III in Motor Mechanics At least two years of relevant on-the-job training Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Commitment to quality workmanship and vehicle safety WHAT WE CAN OFFER Competitive Salary, from $ 82,****** PLUS Superannuation 6 week's annual leave.
