Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 per annum + superannuation(Package dependent on experience and proven capability)
About the RoleA reputable building and construction business based in Cairns is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the on-site delivery of construction projects across Far North Queensland. This is a permanent, full-time role offering stability, responsibility, and the opportunity to play a key leadership role within project delivery teams.The Site Manager is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.Key Responsibilities
* Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities from commencement to completion
* Coordinate trades, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel
* Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and program
* Enforce WHS policies, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain a safe work environment
* Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with Australian Standards and NCC
* Prepare and update site programs in collaboration with the Project Manager.
* Identify and resolve site issues, risks, and constructibility concerns
* Maintain accurate site records, reporting, and documentation
* Liaise closely with Project Managers, consultants, inspectors, and clients.
* Support a positive, productive, and professional site culture
About YouYou are a proactive, hands-on construction leader with strong site coordination skills and a practical understanding of building processes.Essential Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Foreman within the building industry
* Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and sequencing
* Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and multiple trades on site
* Solid understanding of WHS legislation and site safety management
* Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Desirable:
* Experience delivering commercial, industrial, or residential projects
* Trade background and/or qualification in Building & Construction
* Experience working in regional or FNQ environments
* White Card and relevant safety certifications
