Maintenance Manager Electrical & Mechanical
Laucke Mills is a family-owned stock feed and pet food manufacturer situated in South Australia's famous Barossa Valley. Recently celebrating 125 years, Laucke Mills, is a modern, fully automated feed mill, supplying both domestic and commercial markets across Australia.
We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Maintenance Manager to lead and manage our mechanical and electrical maintenance teams.
About the position
The Maintenance Manager will be expected to lead the mechanical and electrical maintenance teams to support the 24/7 manufacturing operations of the Mill. This will involve preventative maintenance programs to minimise production downtime. It will also require capital activities and recommendations and involvement in our major site expansion project.
The successful applicant will be a good people leader with the ability to build positive working relationships internally and externally.
About the role
You will be required to:
* Lead, contribute and role model a safety-first culture.
* Lead & mentor the mechanical and electrical maintenance teams to ensure productive outcomes with a cohesive & collaborative approach.
* Identify opportunities for improvement, and drive a continuous improvement culture.
* Maintain existing plant and equipment to keep the production facility operating safely and optimally.
* Ensure the maintenance team, and any contractors fully understand and control the safety risks associated with servicing and maintaining the facility.
* Manage the installation of new equipment and infrastructure, ensuring installation standards are met and that appropriate operating instructions are developed.
* Coordinate, plan, and ensure preventative maintenance programs are completed in a timely fashion.
* Collaborate and foster a positive working relationship with our system integration partners to ensure the mill automation, control and reporting systems are optimised to meet the requirements of the business.
* Coordinate and lead Capital works projects.
* Be able to work autonomously under broad direction.
* Ensure that essential spare parts and consumables are maintained at appropriate levels through the Maintenance Management software.
* Co-ordinate the cleaners/groundskeepers to ensure the cleaning of the mill and grounds maintenance is carried out efficiently and effectively by the cleaning team.

* Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to maintain operations, safely.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills as a people leader.
* A sound understanding of all relevant standards and codes as applicable for the role.
Remuneration will be negotiated subject to formal qualifications and / or relevant industry experience.
