Hays is proud to be working with Hillwood Berries in their search for a Financial Controller (FC) to join their team on a permanent full-time basis. Your New Role
Based on-site at Hillwood, you will report to the Chief Financial Officer and play a critical role in leading the finance operations of the group, while providing strategic and commercial support. This newly created role includes leading a small team & overseeing financial compliance. Not only will you offer meaningful advice to the CFO to support effective decision-making, but You will also focus on system improvements (including the selection of a new Finance System), reporting, and ensuring that daily financial operations run smoothly. This role is part of a 12-month transition plan from our current CFO, allowing for a structured and practical integration.
What You'll Need to Succeed
As a CA or CPA qualified professional with substantial leadership experience, you will have a demonstrated background in a similar position within a commercial environment. You will have a proven record of leading a finance team and enjoy providing strategic financial advice to the management team to assist with decision-making while remaining hands-on. You will have well-developed communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and an analytical mindset that lends itself to problem-solving. You will also enjoy liaising with key stakeholders at different levels across the business with the ambition to become a CFO.
