We are seeking a senior team member for a Program / Project Management role within Asset Servicing, Fund Services, based in Sydney, Australia (hybrid).
Job Description
Senior Vice President, Program and Project Management
BNY Mellon is a well-established, international financial services bank with a leading global Asset Servicing business.
Based in Sydney, the SVP role will oversee management, governance, resource demand, and delivery of our Australian Asset Servicing strategy, including client and partner interactions related to deploying our capabilities locally.
This role supports the Head of Asset Servicing in Australia and helps execute our global Fund Services strategy.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading and guiding project planning and management activities to ensure timely, within-budget, and quality project delivery.
* Managing end-to-end project activities such as reporting, planning, risk management, scope, estimation, and documentation for complex projects.
* Reporting progress and issues to senior executives and stakeholders.
* Developing detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations, monitoring deviations.
* Managing vendor, partner, and client relations to meet service expectations.
* Communicating with clients and coordinating project progress reports.
* Potentially contributing to team member performance reviews.
* Collaborating across functions and organizational boundaries to execute projects effectively.
* Acting as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure project delivery aligns with expectations and specifications.
* Managing client expectations and supporting business objectives achievement.
Qualifications for success:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business management or related field.
* 15+ years of experience in Program or Project Management within financial services, preferably at a global firm.
* Experience at an Asset Servicer or Asset Management firm is advantageous.
* PMP certification or equivalent experience managing large strategic programs.
* Understanding of contractual and financial frameworks.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proven stakeholder management experience, capable of navigating a global organization.
