The Firm
A well established, busy litigation practice with offices in the ACT and NSW is seeking a Senior Litigation Lawyer to join its team. This role will suit someone who enjoys being on their feet, running matters end to end, and working closely with clients from start to finish, while still having the flexibility to work remotely.
The opportunity
You will manage a varied litigation practice across NSW, ACT and Federal jurisdictions, including and work across multiple practice areas including, criminal matters, estate disputes and employment matters.
The work includes court appearances, advocacy, drafting submissions and evidence, briefing counsel when required, and progressing matters through litigation and alternative dispute resolution. You will be supported by an experienced litigation legal secretary.
Flexible working
The role offers genuine flexibility, including the option to work fully remotely from anywhere in NSW or the ACT. Occasional travel to the ACT and Queanbeyan will be required for key meetings and court appearances. You must be available to appear in person in the Queanbeyan Local Court, ACT Magistrates Court, and ACT Supreme Court as needed.
Remote lawyers are well supported, with systems, processes and secretarial support already in place.
About you
You will bring:
* 3 or more years post qualification litigation experience
* Strong court appearance and advocacy skills
* Confidence running files with minimal supervision
* Experience briefing counsel and navigating court procedures
* Strong written skills and a client focused mindset
If working remotely, you will need a private, well equipped home office suitable for confidential client meetings, including video conferences.
