We support our clients in delivering exceptional transport solutions, offering services including infrastructure construction, asset management, rail systems, signalling and communications, tunnels, and intelligent transport systems.
The Opportunity
The Construction Manager will oversee planning and delivery of all construction activities within our QLD Rail Systems team. This is a newly created role following a significant signalling project awarded to UGL.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and coordinate construction work, including greenfield and brownfield projects within an operational railway environment.
2. Coordinate with management and engineering teams.
3. Ensure adequate resources (personnel, equipment) are available; forecast future needs and support onboarding.
4. Monitor progress, both physically and financially, and assist with forecasting.
5. Lead, supervise, and motivate team members (both direct and indirect reports).
6. Deliver construction activities adhering to safety, quality, cost standards, and schedule deadlines.
7. Manage construction administration tasks, including roster management and delegation of responsibilities.
Ideal Attributes

* Extensive experience managing electrical construction in the Rail or Transport sectors.
* Experience in rail, signalling, train control, or safety-critical environments is highly regarded.
