About the Role
Canberra Grammar School is seeking a vibrant, collaborative, and adaptive Primary School Teacher to join our Primary School community from Term 2, 2026, for a fixed-term contract.
The Primary Teacher at Canberra Grammar School plays a central role in shaping a vibrant, caring, and intellectually rich learning environment. They are deeply committed to the growth and well‐being of each student, fostering curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning through engaging and effective classroom practice. About You
You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:
* An ACT teacher's registration through the ACTTQI
* Expert knowledge of teaching, learning and curriculum
* The ability to use data‐informed practice to impact student learning
* Strong understanding of holistic development of student well‐being and classroom management
* The ability and willingness to work collaboratively with all CGS team members
* PYP experience or an understanding of Inquiry pedagogy
* The ability to reflect on professional practice, set goals and an openness to growth
* Competent use of a range of digital tools to support learning, teaching and administrative processes
* Communication and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to the full life of an Independent school and a willingness to engage in School activities out of regular hours.
All team members at CGS are required to have:
* A relevant tertiary degree and teaching qualification
* A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
* A current National Police Check
* Full working rights within Australia
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
