Field & Game Australia (FGA) is one of Australia's most established and respected hunting, conservation, and shooting organisations. With deep regional roots and a growing national footprint, FGA represents thousands of members who are actively engaged in conservation, volunteerism, ethical hunting, and outdoor recreation.
At a time when the voice of lawful hunters and shooters has never been more important, FGA plays a critical role in advocacy, policy engagement, conservation delivery, and community education — grounded in evidence, responsibility, and respect for Australia's unique landscapes.
The Opportunity
Field & Game Australia is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through its next phase of growth, influence, and professional maturity.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2-3 years of CEO or senior executive leadership experience.
Australian work rights are required at the time of application.
This is a rare opportunity to lead a values‐driven national organisation operating at the intersection of advocacy, conservation, sport, and public policy. The CEO will work closely with a committed Board, a capable national team, and an extensive volunteer network across Australia.
Some exposure to advocacy or public policy is essential for this role.
While relevant formal qualifications are appreciated, it is also recognised that relevant experience and knowledge may not always come with a qualification - but will still be considered. The role is suited to a leader who is comfortable operating publicly and politically, while also understanding grassroots organisations, volunteers, and member-based governance.
Your application will include the following questions:
* Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
* How many years' experience do you have as an Executive Officer?
* Have you completed a qualification in conservation and land management?
* Have you completed a qualification in management?
