About the opportunity
We are seeking a qualified Accountant who is passionate about ‘numbers’ and the story they can provide, to join our dynamic and diverse finance team.
The role will be key in providing support for the finance functions across Council including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations and month and year end processes including statutory reporting. The role will also be actively involved in the implementation of a new performance measurement system, enabling you the opportunity to develop your technical skills as an Accountant while gaining hands on experience in project management and system improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
· A degree in business/commerce (Majoring in Accounting or similar) with relevant experience
· CPA qualified, or progressing to acquiring a CPA designation
· To be a customer service enthusiast with a focus on financial business partnering
· To be a data centric individual who understands the importance of accuracy and reporting timeframes
· To be a driver for system improvements
· To be a community focused individual

This role is based at Kapunda, about 25 minutes from Gawler, and will report directly to the Financial Controller.
