The primary objective of this position is to support the wider Finance team across general accounting and areas of compliance including assisting with the processes which contribute to the preparation of the monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting and the production of the half and full year statutory financial statements.
About the role:
* Mentor and support site personnel to uplift safety performance and strengthen a positive safety culture
* Conduct site safety inspections, audits and reviews, providing recommendations and corrective actions
* Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining project safety systems, plans and procedures
* Provide timely and practical safety advice to project teams on risk management and incident prevention
* Lead or support investigations into incidents and near misses, ensuring accurate reporting and corrective measures
* Manage injury rehabilitation and return‐to‐work processes for project personnel
* Maintain current knowledge of WHS legislation, industry standards and safety innovations to ensure compliance
About you:
* Certificate IV, Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a Safety Advisor or similar role within civil construction
* Strong understanding of WHS legislation, incident investigation processes and safety management systems
* Relevant certifications such as ICAM, First Aid, MHFA, RTW Coordination, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces, Traffic Management etc.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with site teams, subcontractors and client representatives
* Proficient use of Microsoft Suite and a proactive, collaborative attitude towards safety
* Current C-Class Driver's Licence
