About This Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Community Engagement Coordinator. In this role, you will work closely with frontline staff, partner organisations and other external stakeholders to enhance the social group projects and initiatives delivered to people accessing our services.
As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering and co-facilitating group programs and workshops on relevant topics, developing and maintaining partnerships to increase the group program offerings, and developing strategies to increase attendance and awareness of social support groups and other initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver and co-facilitate group programs and workshops on relevant topics.
* Develop and maintain partnerships to increase the group program offerings.
* Develop strategies to increase attendance and awareness of social support groups and other initiatives.
* Work closely with frontline staff, partner organisations and other external stakeholders to enhance the social group projects and initiatives.
Selection Criteria:
* Tertiary qualifications in human services or a relevant field, or a relevant Certificate IV in mental health related discipline.
* Demonstrated experience in facilitation, development, delivery and evaluation of group learning activities.
* Demonstrated experience in community engagement, health promotion, and building effective relationships with other service providers.
* Demonstrated understanding of the challenges faced by people with a lived experience of a mental health issue and how providing a recovery-oriented service is beneficial.
* Understanding of public sector and community-based service systems relevant to people with a lived experience of a mental health issue and psychosocial disability, and demonstrated experience navigating such systems.
* Demonstrated strong communication, advocacy and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, facilitate outcomes and prepare reports in clear and concise language.
* A qualification in training and assessment, adult learning, or a related field.
* A personal lived experience of a mental health issue or a carer of a person with a lived experience.

* An attractive salary package starting at $85,000 per annum + 11% Super.
