About the role
The Hutchins School is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Bus Driver to join our Facilities and Maintenance Team on a casual basis.
This position plays a key role in supporting the efficient operations of The Hutchins School by ensuring a safe, welcoming, and dependable bus transportation service for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
As a Hutchins Bus Driver you will:
* Provide a safe, reliable and welcoming bus service for students.
* Conduct pre-trip safety checks and maintain a clean, presentable vehicle.
* Record student attendance on buses and ensure student behaviour aligns with expectations.
* Engage positively with students and staff, and upholding our school values of humility, kindness, courage and respect.
* Ensure your own safety and the safety of others by adhering to work health and safety policies and following procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Essential Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A current Light Rigid (LR) Vehicle Licence.
* A current First Aid qualification (HLTAID003 or equivalent) or willingness to obtain this qualification.
* Demonstrated ability to relate to and successfully engage with children.
* A collaborative approach and the ability to work as part of a small, dedicated team.
* A current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Tasmania) or willingness to obtain this registration.
