Senior Solution Architect - Discovery and Delivery Management
Hands on Solution Architect to support a current-state technology discovery and documentation engagement across applications, infrastructure, cloud services, SaaS platforms, integrations, identity dependencies, and operational support models.
This role is suited to a practical architect who can contribute to architecture assessment and documentation while also supporting stakeholder coordination, delivery structure, dependency management, and quality outcomes. The successful candidate will work closely with the Lead Enterprise Architect to help establish an accurate, evidence-based view of the technology environment and ensure the engagement progresses in a structured and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Support current-state discovery across enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, SaaS services, integrations, identity dependencies, and support arrangements
* Contribute to the development of structured application and service inventories, including ownership, hosting model, lifecycle status, environments, support model, authentication method, and key dependencies
* Assist in documenting how systems interact in practice, including integrations, data flows, authentication patterns, and operational dependencies
* Produce and maintain architecture artefacts such as current-state diagrams, logical views, integration maps, dependency views, and structured registers
* Work with the Lead Enterprise Architect to consolidate findings into clear, practical outputs that support decision-making, assurance activities, and future planning
* Coordinate stakeholder validation activities, follow-up actions, review cycles, and supporting documentation
* Help manage artefact collection, evidence tracking, action logs, risks, issues, and delivery dependencies
* Support quality assurance across architecture outputs to ensure documentation is clear, complete, consistent, and fit for purpose
* Maintain delivery momentum by helping to resolve blockers, clarify gaps, and ensure activities remain well coordinated
Skills and Experience
* Significant experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, Application Architect, or similar senior architecture role
* Strong experience in current-state discovery, technology assessment, solution documentation, and architecture analysis
* Broad knowledge across enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, SaaS environments, integrations, and identity/access dependencies
* Experience working in complex environments where documentation may be incomplete, fragmented, or outdated
* Ability to contribute to architecture artefacts, structured registers, dependency mapping, and practical assessment outputs
* Strong stakeholder engagement capability, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams
* Experience supporting delivery coordination, planning, action tracking, review cycles, and quality assurance will be highly regarded
* Strong written communication and documentation capability

This is a blended architecture and delivery role. It is ideal for a senior architect who enjoys hands‐on discovery and documentation work, while also bringing strong coordination, stakeholder engagement, and delivery discipline.
