About the Role
* The Akidamy School of Early Learning, is opening a brand-new, state-of-the-art Early Learning School in Fremantle, which opened in February 2025, and is seeking an experienced commercial Chef for our School children and team of educators and early childhood teachers.
* Salary starting from $71,000-$73,000 p.a plus super - negotiable for the right candidate.
* You must be able to obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance Certificate prior to employment.
Skills Needed
* A Cert III in Commercial Cookery and (ideally) experience in an Early Learning or Aged Care setting.
* Food handling or nutrition and menu planning certificates would be an advantage.
* A passion for preparing fresh, nutritious and wholesome vegetarian meals for children (aged 6 weeks to 5 years old) and our team of educators, as well as weekly freshly baked take-home treats for families each Friday.
* Previous experience working with allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements.
* Naturally you will maintain a clean and safe kitchen, adhere to the food safety standards, and ensure that food is fresh and temperature records are kept – our Food Safety audit is currently annually.
* Responsible for ordering and monitoring food supplies.
