COMPANY
This represents a rare opportunity with an incredible high end residential builder/developer based in Brisbane. This company is highly regarded in the construction industry for the projects they deliver. Led by a visionary Director, this company is well positioned to continue their rapid growth in a sustainable manner.
POSITION
Due to incredible growth and internal promotions, the position of Financial Controller has been created.
This role will involve and not be limited to:
* Manage an experienced Senior Bookkeeper and report directly to the Managing Director
* Preparation and ongoing management of the company's finance function
* Liaising with external accountants
* Maintaining relationships with external stakeholders and financial institutions
* Month end accounting and reporting
* Processing, lodgement and management of payroll, FBT, BAS, AP, AR
* Preparation of timely and accurate management accounts
* Ongoing cashflow analysis
CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
* CA/CPA Qualified
* 7+ years' accounting experience within the construction and/or property development industry
* Public Practice experience considered if there is exposure to clients in the construction and/or property development industry
* Proficiency with QBCC matters
* IT Savvy
* Very stable employment history (non negotiable)
* Ability to form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Energetic and motivated personality with great multi-tasking
* Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills
* A self starter who is able to work in a smaller finance team
* Experience with Xero and Buildertrend would be highly desirable
