Job Description:
The Electronic Monitoring Surveillance Officer plays a critical role in ensuring public safety by monitoring and supervising high-risk offenders. This position requires a high degree of autonomy, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with community groups and external service providers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of offenders subject to a supervision order, as well as electronic monitoring of offenders on parole. They will work collaboratively with the High Risk Offender Management Unit (HROMU) team to ensure effective risk management and public safety.
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, think critically, and make sound judgments. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and monitor high-risk offenders subject to a supervision order
* Conduct electronic monitoring of offenders on parole
* Work collaboratively with the HROMU team to ensure effective risk management and public safety
* Engage with community groups and external service providers to achieve positive outcomes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in supervision and surveillance practices in a human services or related field
* Experience in a criminal justice environment or similar human services/regulatory agency
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* C Class driver's license
