What You'll Be Doing
* Building trusting relationships with young people through one-on-one mentoring
* Facilitating fun and purposeful activities that promote life skills, confidence, and wellbeing
* Collaborating with families, schools, therapeutic supports, and community partners to provide holistic care
* Keeping clear and accurate records to support the ongoing development of our programs
* Being a positive role model and advocate for the young people in our care
What You Bring
* Qualifications in Youth Work, Community Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
* A minimum of Certificate IV level qualification is required
* Experience working with young people in residential, community, or youth development settings
* A minimum of 1 year experience working with young people is required
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport and trust
* A deep understanding of the challenges faced by First Nations youth and a commitment to empowerment and inclusion
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* A current driver's licence, and willingness to complete a National Police Check and Working with Children Check
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position
