About The Role
Mandala Hospitality values people first. As a Hotel Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel maintenance, including 76 rooms, the restaurant, gardening, general cleaning, and repairs. The skills and talents you bring will play a critical role in maintaining high standards and maximizing guest experience. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and can confidently manage day-to-day tasks while supporting other areas of the hotel when needed.
What Your Days Might Look Like
- Deliver high-quality daily maintenance across the Hotel
- Manage the maintenance of 76 rooms and a restaurant
- Maintain the hotel’s gardens and outdoor areas (weeding, pruning, general care)
- Carrying out maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting, and light carpentry
- General cleaning and upkeep of the venue
- Ensuring the property is well-presented and safe for guests and staff
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment with emphasis on maintenance and safety standards
- Assisting other departments (such as housekeeping or guest services) when required
- Communicating clearly with the Hotel Manager and team to prioritise and complete tasks efficiently
About You
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a maintenance, gardening, or handyperson role in a Hotel setting
- Confident with garden care and using basic tools and equipment
- Skilled in general property maintenance tasks
- Strong communication skills and the ability to take and follow instructions
- A proactive and reliable attitude with the ability to work independently
- Good understanding of health and safety standards
- Friendly personality and a team-player mindset
- Strong understanding of compliance and safety procedures
- A hands-on, proactive attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Practical and self-motivated
- Current driver’s license
