About the role
You'll play an integral role in delivering person-centred care for our residents, supported by a team of carers.
As the Registered Nurse you are responsible for providing clinical leadership to staff and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements to enable us to continue to deliver a high standard of care, services and most importantly a quality lifestyle for our residents. This role focuses on providing comprehensive clinical care to residents, working as part of a team. A primary focus to deliver high-quality care, ensuring dignity, respect & comfort are maintained.
We have part time and casual positions available, and we have various shifts available covering mornings, afternoons and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of residents
* Formulating, implementing and evaluating care plans with personal care staff ensuring the objectives are met and measured
* Consults and communicates internally and externally to incorporate 'best practice' into resident care on an ongoing basis
* Standards and Guidelines for Residential Aged Care Services; and Occupational Health and Safety legislation
* Access to leading training and professional development - supported by our Clinical Educator and expert clinicians with a commitment to clinical excellence
* Provide management & leadership to care staff & encourage an environment that is based on teamwork & excellent care
About you:
* Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Proficient in computer literacy, including Microsoft Word & basic Excel.
* Ability to meet and perform the inherent requirements of the role.
* An effective listener with the ability to communicate at all levels both orally and in writing with excellent presentation skills
* Able to multitask, prioritise, delegate and manage the delegation process to ensure appropriate quality outcomes within expected or non-negotiable timeframes
* A strong understanding of Resident Rights, and Aged Care Accreditation Standards and their Outcomes
