The Medicare Mental Health Services are free and accessible to those who need support. You can visit a centre without an appointment or referral. We provide a safe environment for individuals experiencing psychological distress.
Our services cater to the needs of our Tasmanian community, offering peer-integrated recovery and clinical support. We help individuals identify alternatives to emergency department visits and access support from trained professionals within their community.
Job Overview:
As a Clinical Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management to our site-based team members. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality care and ensuring all clinical governance and compliance targets are met.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading multidisciplinary teams or extensive experience as a Senior Clinician. They should possess knowledge and understanding of evidence-based interventions and clinical practice in mental health and substance use.
* A degree in a mental health-related field such as Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health Nursing, OR a Mental Health Social Worker with eligibility for related registration.
* Experience in managing clinical governance, supervision, and mentoring of staff, process development and monitoring, data capture, and reporting to meet key contractual benchmarks.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with consumers, advocate on their behalf, and establish effective relationships with staff, clients, families, friends, and stakeholders.
