The ASPIRE team is seeking a casual instrumental specialist to join their creative and performing arts program.
ASPIRE is an initiative that fosters creativity through various programs, including in-school workshops, performance support, professional development for staff, and special projects in areas such as songwriting, scriptwriting, devising theatre, and choreography.
One of the highlights of the ASPIRE program is its original production each year, where students can audition to be a part of dance, design, drama, musical, and production ensembles.
The Instrumental Specialist will work under the direction of the Musical Director to develop young performers within the ASPIRE program.
* Manage the rehearsal of the stage band and assist them in learning assigned parts.
* Conduct part of the production.
* Utilize music theory and practice to ensure the development of young performers.
* Current paid NSW Working with Children Check number.
* Tertiary qualification or equivalent in music.
* High level performance proficiency of at least 8th Grade AMEB level on at least one instrument (excluding voice).
