Infrastructure Engineer Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a strong support focus to join our team. This role involves managing and maintaining a hybrid environment (on-premises and cloud), ensuring stability, security, and performance across critical infrastructure components.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing and maintaining a hybrid environment (on-premises and cloud)
* Ensuring stability, security, and performance across critical infrastructure components
* Providing BAU support and maintenance for virtualised environments
* Performing patching and minor upgrades
* Maintaining Windows servers and Linux systems
* Configuring customer backup requirements
* Executing minor upgrades and generating reports
* Resolving incidents promptly
* Fulfilling service requests in line with SLAs
Qualifications include strong knowledge of networking, server administration, and virtualization technologies. Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell), familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef), understanding of IT security principles and best practices, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, excellent communication and documentation abilities, experience with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus, knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, ELK Stack) is preferred, familiarity with automation and orchestration tools (Terraform, Jenkins) is desirable, and relevant certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, MCSE, RHCE) are advantageous.
