Our organization seeks a highly skilled and experienced Chief Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security department, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Defense Industry Security Program (DISP) portfolio in Australia.
Job Description
As a Chief Security Officer, you will ensure compliance with all obligations outlined in the Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF). You will also be accountable to our Board of Directors, providing strategic oversight on protective security matters to support the continuous delivery of business operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Protective Security Requirements: Develop and implement protective security requirements across Australia, ensuring alignment with our risk profile.
2. Ensure Compliance: Maintain compliance with DSPF obligations and submit annual security reports as required.
3. Security Arrangements: Establish and maintain security arrangements tailored to our risk profile concerning personnel, information, and resources.
4. Document Storage Solutions: Implement and manage approved document storage solutions within our organization.
5. Sensitive Information Handling: Ensure strict adherence to Defence security standards and internal policies for storing, accessing, and disposing of sensitive and classified information.
Requirements and Qualifications
We seek an individual with:
* A bachelor's degree in a related field.
* Extensive experience within the Defence Industry or with the Australian Department of Defence.
* Significant experience managing Defence security operations, supported by relevant training or tertiary qualifications.
* Experience handling highly sensitive personally identifiable information.
* Hold and maintain at least an NV1 security clearance.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
