A Biogeochemist Position
The University is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biogeochemist to join its team as a Research Associate - Carbon Biogeochemist. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team responsible for conducting high-quality research in the field of biogeochemistry. The position will involve using a range of techniques to evaluate changes in biogeochemical cycles in the Southern Ocean, including observations and model outputs.
Key Responsibilities
* Evaluating changes (seasonal, interannual and decadal) in biogeochemical cycles in the Southern Ocean using observations and model outputs.
* Identifying the underlying drivers of such change and/or what measurables could act as early indicators of tipping points.
* Contributing to research focused on the biogeochemical cycling of carbon in the Southern Ocean.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you will need to have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant field of science or engineering. You should also have a good record of, and continuing commitment to, research that has achieved national recognition and made worthwhile contributions to the field of biogeochemistry. A collaborative team player with experience working with large datasets and/or the output of model simulations is required.
