About the role
Reporting to the Chief Legal and Risk Officer (CLRO), the Risk and Assurance Manager plays a critical role in protecting Estia Health's reputation and ensuring operational resilience. In this role, you will manage risk and assurance frameworks, helping the organisation proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
Key responsibilities include maintaining the risk management system, updating and enhancing risk registers, coordinating risk assessments, monitoring for emerging risks, risk reporting, supporting compliance activities, and assisting with the delivery of assurance programs.
Through accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and close collaboration with business units, you will help embed a strong risk-aware culture and enable informed decision-making at all levels. Additionally, you will oversee the annual insurance renewal process, manage insurance claims and incident notifications, and maintain effective relationships with brokers and insurers.
The ideal person will be looking for a varied and challenging role and will have
* Experience in risk, compliance, or assurance roles within a regulated environment, with exposure to managing frameworks, coordinating enterprise risk activities and supporting assurance activities.
* Tertiary qualification in risk management, compliance or related discipline, plus professional certifications or development in risk or compliance (eg. ISO 31000, CPRM, CERA).
* Highly developed analytical, documentation and reporting skills, plus strong attention to detail.
* Possess well-developed interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across the organisation.
* Be confident working with senior stakeholders, including preparing reports and contributing to presentations, while remaining hands-on and willing to "roll up sleeves."
* The ability to adapt, plus enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
