Our Cross-Domain Computing Solutions Department is responsible for developing Body Computer Modules, Secure Central Gateways, and Vehicle Security Products. With capabilities covering end-to-end the complete Development and New Product Introduction process, we are managing and implementing global platform projects tailored for our Original Equipment customers.
Job Description
Robert Bosch (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Undergraduate Embedded Software Engineering Student to join our Cross-Domain Solutions Department on a Full-Time basis for 12 months commencing July 2025, based at our Clayton headquarters.
You will gain valuable experience and knowledge as an integral part of our team. Some of the tasks that you will undertake include:
* Carrying out software development, including designing, developing, and implementing software solutions for embedded systems.
* System Design and Architecture: Involvement in designing and architecting embedded systems, including defining software requirements, specifications, and interfaces.
* Debugging and Troubleshooting: Responsible for debugging and troubleshooting issues that arise during software development.
* Integration and Testing: Integrate software with hardware components and peripherals of the embedded system.
* Collaborating with all project team members to ensure successful completion of projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
* Ensuring all development activities comply with company procedures and relevant international standards.
You will have opportunities to develop your expertise and broaden your tertiary studies. A strong support network will help you succeed: your supervisor and team members will assist you throughout your placement.
Qualifications
* Currently enrolled in and having completed at least 2 years of an Engineering Undergraduate degree (majoring in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Robotics) with relevant Software subjects.
* Experience in Embedded Software.
* Knowledge of requirement engineering and cascading requirements.
* Problem-solving skills and understanding of methodologies (PSS, 8D).
* Understanding of architecture and modular design.
* Ability to follow coding guidelines effectively.
* Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on customer and stakeholder relationships.
* Attention to detail, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and teamwork skills.
* A strong interest in innovation and openness to integrating studies with on-the-job learning.
Additional Information
An Assessment Centre will be held early June at our Clayton headquarters for shortlisted candidates, offering group activities and a possible interview.
