About the Role:
They are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Truck Driver with an MC license to join their dedicated Interstate team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods across interstate routes. You will work closely with the transport team to maintain the high standards of service our clients expect.
What the Role Entails:
1. Starting at Harden at 8pm, involving 1-2 drops to Sydney, then back to Harden.
2. Daily work, an average of 10 days per fortnight.
3. Safely operating heavy vehicles, including trucks and trailers, to transport freight to designated locations.
4. Adhering to assigned routes and schedules to guarantee timely delivery and pickup of goods.
5. Assisting with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of freight, ensuring compliance with load restraint regulations.
6. Maintaining accurate documentation, including logbooks for work/rest periods, kilometres driven, and fuel/toll receipts.
7. Conducting daily pre-trip inspections, addressing any mechanical or safety concerns before departure.
8. Following all road safety rules, especially those related to heavy vehicle operation.
9. Collaborating effectively with the transport manager and team members to support road freight logistics operations.
About You:
1. You have a valid MC license and a clean driving record.
2. Road train experience preferred but not essential.
3. Experience in a variety of freight types and load restraint systems.
4. Strong time management skills and thorough knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
5. Experience in operating on-board reporting technology (tablet).
6. Proactive in maintaining vehicle safety and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
7. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
8. A strong focus on safety and compliance with NHVAS Mass, Maintenance and Fatigue protocols.
