Senior Test Engineer (internally known as a Quality Designer I)

Frostbite is EA's proprietary game engine that comes equipped with tonnes of technologies designed to build incredible games. Our in-house engine offers the capacity to evolve for each game while working hand-in-hand to prioritise what to build. Our goal is to empower creators all over the world to bring their best ideas to life by creating an engine that amplifies innovation across every discipline.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Engineer to join the Frostbite team.

This is a hybrid role based in Melbourne, Australia, and you will report to the Quality Verification Development Manager.

You will contribute to the Quality Verification efforts for Frostbite. This is an opportunity to develop your quality assurance skills and help deliver high-quality experiences and tools to our partners and creators across EA.

Responsibilities:

* Collaborate to achieve Frostbite's quality goals and ensure high product standards.
* Build and document tests for new features, bug fixes, and release candidates across multiple platforms, reporting and escalating issues to ensure rapid resolution.
* Maintain quality standards, documentation, and processes, contributing to knowledge sharing and process improvement plans.
* Collect and analyse data to support quality decision-making, while asking for feedback and mentorship for growth.

Requirements:

* 2+ years of game industry or Quality Assurance experience.
* Hands-on experience testing or working with modern game engines (such as Unity, Unreal, Frostbite, or similar).
* Experience working with distributed teams.
* Familiarity with source control and development tools (e.g., Perforce, Visual Studio).

What's in it for you?

We want EA to be the ultimate destination to make great content and experiences. Everything we're doing here is about creating a culture, environment, and company where you can do the best work of your career – so there's that. There's also:

* An employee assistance program, including coaching and therapy sessions to support your wellbeing
* An inclusive parental leave policy that supports all parents and carers
* 17.5% annual leave loading – yes, we'll pay you extra to take a break
* Bonus end of year leave days – time off between Christmas and New Years, no annual leave necessary
* Volunteer leave and charitable donation matching
* A flexible work reimbursement program - $$ to go towards your working from home and/or commuting expenses

We also offer access to our employee stock purchase program.
