About the Opportunity
We are seeking highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our F35 Joint Strike Fighter team within the Aerospace organisation based in Williamtown, NSW.
If you have recently completed a Certificate IV in Aeroskills – Structures apprenticeship or have extensive experience in Defence and/or Commercial Aircraft maintenance as a qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform production, maintenance and repair of sheet metal, bonded and non-metallic composite material and components on aircraft to meet regulatory and airworthiness requirements.
* Work safely and efficiently in an aviation environment to ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
* Collaborate with the team to carry out scheduled servicing and other unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed by the Team Leader.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance and technical documentation, ensuring all necessary authorisations and compliance procedures are met.
* Report defects, deficiencies, maintenance errors and unserviceability to the Team Leader as soon as they arise.
* Carry out maintenance tasks only to delegated and authorised levels, adhering to quality control procedures and protocols.
* Initiate quality, non-conformance or defect reporting as directed, contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes and practices.
About You
* You hold a Certificate IV in Aeroskills – Structures, or equivalent qualification.
* You are an Australian Citizen eligible for obtaining and maintaining an NV1 security clearance.
* You have experience or a strong interest in working with Defence Aircraft, with a military or civil aviation maintenance licence being highly desirable.
* You possess a deep understanding of Australian Defence Force aircraft maintenance regulations, processes and procedures.
* You excel in communication, both written and verbal, and can effectively collaborate within a fast-paced team environment.
Eligibility & Security Clearances
In order to obtain the required Defence security clearance, candidates must be Australian Citizens. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) apply to this role, which may impact candidate nationality. Further information regarding security clearances is available.
