About This Role
* This position plays a pivotal role in building and maintaining constructive relationships with various stakeholders to collaborate on improving engagement, wellbeing, and achievement for Koorie children and young people.
* The successful candidate will facilitate increased access to universal and targeted educational services for Koorie families and communities by negotiating with key stakeholders.
* Key responsibilities include influencing stakeholders to improve access to culturally responsive educational services that cater to the needs of Koorie children and young people.
* The individual will establish and maintain partnerships with government departments, community agencies, and local communities to develop collaborative programs and initiatives that enhance achievements for Koorie children and young people.
* A significant aspect of this role is facilitating local Koorie input into the delivery of culturally appropriate educational services.
* The successful candidate will also support information sharing and follow-up between educational services and families about educational issues and local priorities.
* An expert in providing Koorie-specific advice, the ideal candidate will contribute to regional responses aimed at increasing engagement, achievement, and wellbeing of Koorie children and young people.
* In addition, they will coordinate and implement initiatives tailored to meet the needs of Koorie children and young people.

A passion for working with diverse communities and a commitment to cultural responsiveness are essential. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of educational systems and policies, as well as experience in program development and implementation.
