Supervising Field Service Technician job in Canberra, immediate need

**Your new role**
In your role as the Leading Field Technician/ Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for efficient and effective product diagnostics comprising RF, digital, and analogue circuits.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Testing and remediation at localised levels for supplied products;
- Coordination and collection material from various customer locations;
- Re-delivery of products to the ACT government emergency services;
- Monitoring, tracking and controlling all assets between the customer and Brisbane warehouse
- Management of local delivery, storage and effective material distribution;
- Ensuring effective communication of material status, repairs, and warranties;
- Conduct Preventative Maintenance Inspections of supplied radios.
- Liaising on product improvements/issues.
- Troubleshooting/fault-finding returned material to ascertain next remediation step(s)
**Supervision**:
- Demonstrate strong consulting, employee relations, conflict management, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Strong computer skills in MS office suite
- Acts as a mentor to lower level peers and provides guidance on tasks.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in an Engineering Technician role within the Defence Industry.
You will also possess:
- Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience, Or High School Diploma and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
- RF and or P25 experience in either Public Safety or Defence Force is highly advantageous.
- Understanding of Supply Chain/Logistics and Repair/maintenance management
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Will need to either have or can obtain Base Line Security Clearance
**Please note Australian Citizenship is essential for this position as you will be required to have a NV1 clearance or higher.**
