Job SummaryAs the Night Lead Custodian Crew Chief, you will:Ensure the cleanliness, safety and appearance of assigned buildings in accordance with established standards.Plan and coordinate daily work assignments to cover vacancies, provide continuous delivery of services, and ensure equitable distribution of work.Train, coach, support and supervise custodians in single or multiple locations.Interface with customers to resolve problems and complaints and respond to queries.Maintain an inventory of custodial tools, supplies and equipment and maintain in office administrative records.Perform custodial duties to cover vacancies, absences or special requests.Required to respond to campus crises situations to enhance public safety and minimize infrastructure damage.What We\'re Looking ForEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED4+ years of work experience, including 2 years custodial experience and 1 year of supervisory experienceSkills neededAbility to functionally supervise and train moderate sized (12-18) groupsMust complete onboarding training, or be enrolled in program, within 90 days of hireAbility to use and train others to use powered and non-powered custodial equipmentMust be able to read, speak, and understand English to effectively communicate, understand others, give and direct work assignments, and communicate both verbally and in writing with customersBasic math skills and good work organization requiredBasic experience with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) requiredAbility to maintain positive relationships that reflect positively on the department and participates in a culture of professionalism demonstrating AO values of teamwork, respect, and performance excellenceKnowledge of polices and procedures regarding building maintenance and security requiredKnowledge of campus buildings and locations preferredFollow and train others to follow safety procedures; includes wearing personal protective equipment as requiredAbility to work while standing, stooping, and kneelingWork while reaching above the head and below the waistAbility to lift and carry 25 to 50 lbs.
