Our team is dedicated to helping individuals and families build happier, healthier lives through education and support.
We provide crisis intervention and early intervention services to address immediate client crisis and safety needs, as well as short-term follow-up offering risk assessment, safety planning, and referral. This work requires a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding domestic and family violence, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with clients and other professionals.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. They will be knowledgeable about best practices in trauma-informed care and culturally safe responses, and will be able to adapt their approach to meet the unique needs of each client.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Provide immediate and ongoing support to individuals experiencing domestic and family violence
 * Operate as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside law enforcement and community support agencies
 * Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans with clients
 * Referrals for additional support and resources
Requirements:
 * Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, or a related field
 * Experience working with vulnerable populations and trauma survivors
 * Strong understanding of domestic and family violence dynamics and response strategies
 * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
